THE WALKS

The French Way (Camino Francés) is the most popular Camino route and runs almost 800 km across Northern Spain. We will follow the same route that medieval pilgrims used across Northern Spain to Santiago. The famed Camino Francés, starts in the walled town of St Jean Pied de Port in the French Basque Country and ends at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

 ACCOMMODATION 

We stay in 3/4 star hotels, Paradores Nacionales (National Historical Heritage Buildings), Pazos Gallegos (Galician Heritage Stately House) and old Monasteries all converted to tasty, elegant and atmospheric hotels.

We meet in Bilbao/Pamplona at a centric hotel and from there we transfer by private coach to our first hotel in Roncesvalles, a quiet hamlet in the foothills of the Pyrenees near the French border, or transfer to our first accommodation in Burgos (12 night).

Extra nights in Santiago can be arranged. Please ask for prices.

 The terrain is varied. Flat meseta, rugged mountains, rolling farmland.
